, plenty of us are coming to terms with the fact that we may not be alone in the universe. In light of this news, PsychicWorld.com were eager to find out which European country has the longest duration of alien visits.
In order to do so, experts at PsychicWorld.com analysed official sightings from across Europe documenting the frequency of sightings, duration and what kind of UFO was seen.
Key findings
- Germany is the country with the 4th longest UFO visits, with 196 sightings lasting an average of 20.1 minutes.
- Lithuania is the country with the longest UFO sightings in Europe, with 20 confirmed sightings at an average of 46.75 minutes each.
- England stands as Europe’s UFO hotspot with 2,678 sightings lasting an average of 13.32 minutes each. Records are mainly of unexplainable bright lights in the sky.
- Each country in Europe has had an average of 114 UFO sightings, which lasted an average of ten minutes and 44 seconds. The most common type of UFO witnessed took the form of a light.
- UFOs spend the least amount of time in Greenland, with only 3 confirmed sightings. These sightings lasted just 7.2 seconds on average.

PsychicWorld.com can reveal that each country in Europe has had an average of 114 UFO sightings, which last anaverage of ten minutes and 44 seconds. The most common type of UFO witnessed was a light.
If you are an UFO enthusiast, Lithuania is likely to provide you with the longest sightings, lasting an average of 46.75 minutes! Of the 20 confirmed sightings, the most prevalent type of UFOs in Lithuania are reported as unknown shapes, or lights.
Bosnia and Herzegovina ranks second with UFO sightings lasting an average of 24 minutes. Of the 13 confirmed instances, witnesses claim to have spotted circular lights moving in the sky.
Following behind in third and fourth position are Morocco and Germany, with sightings lasting an average of 22.57, and 20.1 minutes, respectively.

England stands as Europe’s UFO hotspot, with 2678 sightings lasting an average of 13.32 minutes each. Reports are mainly of unexplainable bright lights in the sky.
Scotland ranks second with 242 confirmed sightings. These only last an average of 12.03 minutes, while Ireland’s 209 sightings average 10.72 seconds, bringing it into third place.
Much like England, most witnesses in Scotland and Ireland have reported seeing a light formation in the sky.

PsychicWorld.com can reveal that Greenland, home of the northern lights, is the country where UFOs spend the least amount of time. Here, there were only 3 confirmed sightings, each lasting just 7.2 seconds on average.
Following closely behind is Azerbaijan with the average sighting lasting just 19.8 seconds. The six sightings report a variety of unusual shapes, such as cigar and disc shaped lights.
Tenerife ranks in third place, with four witness sightings lasting an average of 58.2 seconds.

Methodology
- Experts at PsychicWorld.com analysed data from the National UFO Reporting Centre State Report Index.
- The location of sightings, the duration and description were all recorded to work out an average for each European country.
- All data was collected on 14 September 2022 and is subject to change.
