Methodology

  1. Showerstoyou.co.ukExternal Link sought to identify the best water parks in Europe through reviews.

  2. Firstly, every waterpark across Europe was collected from a reputable review site “Tripadvisor.co.ukExternal Link’”—Countries and water parks without listings were omitted from the study. Creating a final seed list of 852 water parks in 29 countries.

  3. Once the seed list was determined, user ratings for every water park in the countries contained within the sample were then collected. A weighted average was then calculated in order to attain a weighted overall user rating.

  4. To accurately compare water park ratings across multiple countries, the Bayesian Average was determined from the weighted overall user rating.

  5. The final Bayesian Average for each water park was then ranked.
