LipLid has won the 2022 WorldStar Packaging Award for best lid
Swedish company UniCup Scandinavia AB wins in the category ‘Packaging Materials and Components’ with the LipLid, becoming world leader with its innovative and eco-friendly beverage lid. Winners of the World’s Best Packaging awards are named by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) following in-depth examination and analysis. The judging panel was composed of 36 distinguished judges representing 36 countries.
LipLid – the new drinking experience – is the winner in the ‘Packaging Materials and Components’ category. The panel’s reasoning: ”LipLid is a winner because it is a better, safer and more enjoyable way to drink ‘on the go’. 100% recyclable and 100% bio-degradable.”
”This is a fantastic acknowledgement of our innovative, climate-smart lid,” says Jesper Berthold, CEO of UniCup Sweden, LipLid’s producer. ”This award shows that the world needs smart and functional alternatives to the plastic beverage lids that currently dominate the market.”
The WPO is a non-profit, non-governmental, international federation of national packaging institutes and other interested parties, including corporations and trade associations. LipLid will receive its award at a ceremony to be held during the IPACK IMA fair in Milan on May 4, 2022.
